Honor memory of Suguru
Suguru, our important friend, was passed away on May 9, 2016. In April 2014, he has been diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy, which is the incurable disease. He continued to the vigorous activity while he was fighting against the disease.
May Suguru’s soul rest in peace. However, he was left behind great person, organization and community. For the Internet to make a better society, we will continue to walk to together.

To commend talented researchers, developers and operators for next generations of AI3/SOI Asia Project, since 2017, we have been giving ‘Dr. Suguru Yamaguchi Memorial Award’ to two recipients per year (one recipient every meeting) with an extra prize.
