For the first time, the APIE Camp was held simultaneously at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) in Makassar, Indonesia, and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang, Malaysia, from August 12th to 16th.

A total of 29 students from SOI Asia partner universities in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, and Vietnam gathered at both sites. Notably, 11 female students participated, making up more than one-third of the audience at UNHAS.
During the camp, students applied what they had learned from the APIE Online courses, tackling challenges from network design, cybersecurity and DNS configuration. They also learned the fundamentals of IoT and cloud computing.
