The fourth monthly seminar was held on 26 January 2022 online with 14 real-time participants from the AI³ /SOI Asia community.

In the first part of the session, the potential topics combined with AI³/SOI Asia Community Based Research (CBR) were discussed.

Firstly, the AI³/SOI Asia members shared their research. Dr. Wan Tat Chee (USM) introduced the research in Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) and Named Data Networking (NDN). Dr. Rahmad Dawood (USK) shared the research of agriculture and aquaculture utilizing IoT.
Second, AI³/SOI Asia interns reported the study status of the topic each one was assigned.
Then, a lively discussion was held for future research plans in Non-Terrestrial Networks, Dynamic Networking, Data Science, and IoT fields.

Summary Report for AI³ SOI Asia Monthly Online Seminar

The third monthly seminar was held on 22 December 2021 online with 13 real-time participants from the AI³ /SOI Asia community.

In the first part of the session, a new scheme called Community Based Research (CBR) was explained by Keiko Okawa, director of SOI Asia, and Achmad Husni Thamrin, director of AI³, for promoting multi-stakeholder collaborative research and inclusive support in AI³ /SOI Asia community. During the ideation workshop Rika Ikeda, Keio University conducted, participants were involved in actively discussing the creation of an AI³/SOI Asia open badge based platform under this scheme.

In the second part of the session, several updates were shared by each site.

Summary Report for AI³ SOI Asia Monthly Online Seminar

The second monthly seminar was held on 24 November 2021 online with 12 real-time participants from the AI³ /SOI Asia community.

Ai Sugiura from UNESCO Jakarta shared the newly adopted UNESCO Open Science Recommendation, and participants discussed the way of our contribution to its implementation mechanisms for Asia and the Pacific Region.
She also shared her new STEM Education program focused on environmental issues utilizing UNESCO resources and EBA (EvidenceBased Approach) Project. The target of this program, high school students of India, Thailand, Indonesia, and South Korea, are expected to learn about the process of the data becoming information using Arduinos kits.
