    The 23 Monthly seminar was held on 27 September 2023 online, with 57 real-time participants from the AI³/SOI Asia community.

    This time, participants in two fieldwork programs conducted in July-August 2023 under the EBA Project gave presentations as their final Presentation. The session was broadcast live on YouTube so that their learnings were widely shared with the public.

    #21 Monthly Seminar

    The 21 Monthly seminar was held on 26 July 2023 online, with 19 real-time participants from the AI³/SOI Asia community.

    This was the first seminar attended by the National University of East Timor (UNTL), Timor-Leste, which has long had challenges in accessing stable and reliable internet connections, using the internet environment that the AI³/SOI Asia team collaborated to establish at UNTL.

    This was an important milestone for promoting the development of the Research and Education Network (REN) in Timor-Leste, in addition to UNTL’s activities with AI³/SOI Asia members by utilizing this network environment.

    The 19th Monthly seminar was held on 26 April 2023 online, with 15 real-time participants from the AI³/SOI Asia community.

    During the meeting, progress updates were shared for seven ongoing Community Based Research (CBR) projects from each workgroup. Members discussed strategies for maintaining a cohesive and efficient structure for each CBR project under AI3/SOI Asia.

    The 18th Monthly seminar was held on 29 March 2023 online, with over 43 real-time participants from the AI³/SOI Asia community.

    In this seminar, the final outcomes of EBA Kumamoto Fieldwork program (February 20- March 1, 2023, hosted by Keio University) were presented by 12 participants from SOI Asia partner universities.

    Six groups divided by the university team gave a presentation about “Based on the finding inKumamoto city, Aso area and Minamata city in Kumamoto prefecture and its disaster experience (nature and man-made), what action you (as your university student), will take to tackle the disaster in your local area?”

    The 17th Monthly seminar was held on 22 February 2023 online, with 38 real-time participants from the AI³/SOI Asia community.

    In this seminar, 12 APIE Camp participants from SOI Asia partner universities, held on 6-10 February 2023 at Keio University, presented their final outcomes, divided into 4 teams.
    Students who supported the Camp, Keio University, JAIST, and Osaka University, also joined the session and gave comments and feedback to the presenters.

    The 16th Monthly seminar was held on 25 January 2023 online, with 20 real-time participants from the AI³ /SOI Asia community.

    First, Fathima Assilmia (Ph.D. candidate at Keio University Graduate School of Media Design) made a presentation of her doctoral thesis and project called IN360. (Presentation title: “Community-based Career Exploration Service for Children with Less Access to Role Model”.) The evaluation should be long-term and follow-up on a target kid’s career vision, it was anticipated her further continuous research collaborate with AI³ /SOI Asia community.

    Second, 2 Community Based Researchs (CBR)s updates were shared as follows.:

    • CBR1- IEEE 802.11bd based SDVN Real Environment Testing (Lead by Eueung Mulyana and Galih Nurkahfi (ITB))
    • CBR2 – Real-time Malicious TLS Traffic Detection using Machine Learning Classifier (lead by Muhammad Niswar (UNHAS))

    The last monthly seminar of 2022 was held on 21 December 2022 online, with 19 real-time participants from the AI³ /SOI Asia community.

    Members celebrated the end of the year with concluded 3 Community Based Research (CBR) agreement contracts. Here are the CBR topics officially approved by universities and project.

    • An IoT-based transport data collection and analytics framework using Bluetooth proximity beacons, lead by USM, Malaysia
    • Artificial Intelligence of Things System to Classify and Predict the Quality of Produce in Smart Agriculture, lead by USK, Indonesia
    • Real-time Malicious TLS Traffic Detection using Machine Learning Classifier, lead by UNHAS, Indonesia

    The discussion was also made in other CBRs, experiments utilizing Dynamic networks lead by ITB or satellites lead by UNTL, toward realization.

    A summarized outcome of the workshop “Enhancing Learning and Career Mobility with a Micro-Credentialing Platform” held at 54 Joint Meeting was shared.
