
EBA Internship Fieldwork TA
The EBA Internship for Fieldwork Teaching Assistant is a practical learning and support experience where participants contribute to the implementation of EBA Fieldwork programs. In this internship, Teaching Assistants support online sessions, fieldwork activities, discussions, presentations, and participant engagement while developing their understanding of evidence-based education and field-based learning.
Teaching Assistants actively support the fieldwork process by understanding the goals and context of the program, facilitating discussions during online sessions and final presentations, assisting students during fieldwork activities, and encouraging participation and cultural exchange among participants and stakeholders. They also contribute to classroom support, risk management, and communication support during fieldwork activities.
By completing this internship, participants gain experience in educational facilitation, cross-cultural communication, fieldwork support, and reflective practice. The experience strengthens their ability to support collaborative learning environments and contributes to the implementation of evidence-based, international, and field-based education.
Study Requirement: 60 hours on average, including briefing and preparation meetings, online sessions, fieldwork activities, final presentation, and final report

- EBA Fieldwork Goals and Context: Understanding the purpose, structure, and learning objectives of EBA Fieldwork programs and how participants apply the Evidence-Based Approach in real-world settings.
- Teaching Assistant Roles and Responsibilities: Supporting students, facilitators, and program organizers through preparation meetings, online sessions, fieldwork activities, and final presentation activities.
- Discussion Facilitation and Classroom Support: Facilitating discussion, encouraging participation, supporting online classroom management, and helping participants connect field experiences with evidence-based inquiry.
- Cultural Exchange and Participant Support: Promoting communication, collaboration, and cultural exchange among participants, stakeholders, and local communities during fieldwork activities.
- Fieldwork Operations and Risk Management: Assisting with field activity coordination, communication support, classroom management, and risk management throughout the program.
- Reflection and Reporting: Reflecting on the internship experience through a final report and sharing outcomes with the SOI Asia community.

Prerequisite
A basic understanding of the Evidence-Based Approach and EBA Fieldwork is required. Prior completion of EBA-related programs or digital badges, such as Introduction to EBA or EBA Fieldwork, is recommended. Business-level English skills are mandatory, and other languages may be required depending on the fieldwork context.
Criteria
This badge was awarded to the learners who completed the following criteria:
- Participate and perform responsibilities assigned as a Teaching Assistant during the program preparation and execution.
- Submit a final internship report and present outcomes to the SOI Asia community.
